About the Artist
  Lesley Sloane discovered the art of  bead knitting more than 15 years ago. Bead knitting was all the rage in the 1920's when everyone "had to have" a knitted bead purse.
  After many years as an accomplished needlepoint artist utilizing glass beads in her work, Lesley mastered the techniques required to create her beautiful custom made beaded purses.  Her work has been shown in galleries in Maine and New Hampshire and is on permanent display at Old North Church in Boston.
  She has taught classes throughout New England in this technique of knitting and is a member of Knitting Guild of America, American Needlework Guild and the Embroidery Guild of America.
